With the onset of the harvest festival Onam; Acer,the world’s second largest notebook brand, has announced theavailability of its brand new offering, the Acer Aspire 5536G, powered by anAMD processor and graphics as a special offering for India. The product isbeing made available first up to the consumers in Kerala and from there wouldpan out nationally. The Acer Aspire 5536G notebook is powered by the AMDTurion X2 processor and is based on the latest AMD M780G Chipset with 3GB DDR3RAM. Additionally, the Acer 5536G will have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 graphics card with 512 MB dedicated VRAM.
Inaddition, Acer India and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) jointly announced arewards program for channel partners in Kerala. The scheme is valid tillSeptember 14, 2009 and channel partners will be rewarded with a trip to Bangkokor digital cameras based on a tiered purchase program.
