Coca-Cola India has announced the launch of its innovative ‘Limca ‘Laptop Ki Barish’ consumer initiative nationally. As part of this unique initiative a computer generated lucky draw would provide consumers a chance to win “HP Mini Laptop” every hour for the next 45 days. The initiative is applicable to 200ml, 300ml returnable glass bottles (RGB) and also on 500 ml, 600 ml 1.25, 1.5, 2 & 2.25 liters PET bottles of Limca. As part of the under the crown initiative consumers just need to SMS “LIMCA” followed by a 9 digit unique code to 58558 from their GSM / CDMA mobile phones.
Additionally consumers also have the option to Call 186 0233 0233 and register their code through an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). The exciting initiative also provides consumers with an opportunity to win cash prizes of various denominations – applicable on 200 ml & 300 ml returnable glass bottles (RGB) of Limca.
The national initiative is designed to leverage the popularity of digital media like mobile phones (Both GSM & CDMA & IVRS), internet and laptops amongst soft drink consumers and would run from 1st August to 14th September, 2009. The initiative also supports the ‘Goal 511’ of Manufacturer’s Association for Information Technology (MAIT) of reaching out 500 million internet user, 100 million broadband connection and 100 million connected devices by 2012.
According to Srinivas Murthy, General Manager-Marketing, Coca-Cola India, “Limca has been associated with providing refreshment and rejuvenation both physically and emotionally, complimented with the dimension of freshness of human emotions. The youth today is constantly on the lookout of new opportunities to stay connected. Laptops are a one-stop-shop for them to establish the connect and at the same time provide mobility to the consumers. Taking the same thought forward we have launched our latest and one-of-its-kind ‘Limca Laptop Ki Barish’ initiative. I am sure the initiative will provide consumers a fresh surprise and they will find the entire initiative extremely appealing.”
To create awareness about ‘Limca Laptop Ki Barish’ digital initiative, the company would also be launching an innovative and clutter breaking 3D animation film. The communication using cutting edge 3D animation designed to further build upon Limca’s core idea of water-like-freshness complimenting the dimension of freshness of human emotions – ‘Fresh Ho Jao’. They are just attracting us for buying Limca and selling their product thought this “Labtop Ki Barish” offer.
They are just sending sms that you will be informed if you will short-listed… there is lots of massages posted by friends like you and me and all have the same complaint that they are not giving any price after sending the 9 digit code.

Hi all… I think this is all fake just to attract custmors to buy their products .. Every time companies comes up with new schemes to win by just sending some SMS… but I have never heard that someone has won from them.
They Play safe by adding some TERMS & CONDITIONS so that there shouldn’t be any legal proceedings… I think their effort should not be be towards to fool people, their efforts should be to make just offers more real… like in this case if they don’t have a budget to distribute laptop on hourly bases then they should have given the laptop to those who have sent maximum SMS which shows that particular participant has actually participated in this promotion and have actually purchased their product and can be a good example of their goodwill.
I think they know how to fool people from the past and that is why they have come with this new offer just to increase their sale. Because if the prizes are on hourly bases then they must have distributed approximately 300 Laptops as of now.” where i have multiplied only 8 Laptops per day.”
And even if they have distributed even a single laptop, publishing a winner’s name on their website or in a newspaper will only help their product in increasing the sale because it will motivate & influence other people to go ahead and buy it, as people are acutally winning from this offer.

i think this scheme is a fake one.. coco cola company is making a a fake scheme to run their products…. 3 months before in sprite also they told, drink sprite and make a chance to meet sharukh khan… in thumsup also for apache bike.. i think coca cola is going in loss, thats why they are making a fake offer to run products… pepsi company is better than coca cola… they never give a fake and fraud scheme…

Hey Guyz i feel this laptop ki barish offer is a fake thing, its nothing but making ppl fool and taking profit out of it… wat i feel is limca ki sale kam ho rahi hogi toh they thought of making this add and make aam janta chutiya.. meri baat maano toh boycot dis product and take action against it… If possible publish dis fake offer in newspaper so that more ppl shud be aware of it…
