Addressing the media at a press conference Shilpa Menon, Managing Director of Jolie said “She is targeted towards teenage girls in the age group of 14- 19 years. We are first launching the product in Chennai since the market is price sensitive and cost conscious. After this we will move into other neighboring states and then pan India. This will roughly take less than 18 months. ” She added,” The product mostly consists of minerals and organic substances. All ingredients used in the product are in compliance with EU legal provisions & manufactured with strict quality control. We have plans to launch
other perfumes and deodorants targeting others in the male & female segments. This launch will be the forerunner to a slew of launches, which will see Jolie becoming a brand representing luxury across India.”
Explaining the salient features of the brand “She” Jayram Menon, Chairman of the Menon Holdings Group said, “ She is a legendary & iconic brand and has a leadership position in over 30 countries in Europe. It has a lineage of over 115 years and gives the consumer an uncompromising experience of luxury and quality.” He also said “ With many more brands that we intend to unveil over the coming days, we hope to acheive a modest turn over of Rs.60 Crores within three years of operations in India and with a market share in this segment of atleast 5%” .
